Northern lights at Aurora Borealis Observatory
SENJA, NORWAY · A LITTLE CLOSER TO WONDER

Give the sky
more than one night.

Dark surroundings, a warm place to return to, and local hosts who know the sky.

LATE AUGUST – MID APRIL

The night is
part of the stay.

At the observatory, the northern lights experience begins right outside. Wait in the warmth, step into the darkness when conditions are right, and take the evening at your own pace.

Aurora is a natural phenomenon. Clear skies, darkness and activity all matter, so give yourself several nights and enjoy the island in between.

CHOOSE YOUR SEASON

Different nights.
The same sense of wonder.

LATE AUGUST – NOVEMBER

Autumn skies

Dark nights return alongside autumn colours. A season for changing landscapes and softer transitions between day and night.

DECEMBER – MID MARCH

Deep winter

Long nights, winter scenery and a quieter rhythm. Plan for cold weather and time outside between warm breaks.

MID MARCH – MID APRIL

The returning light

Brighter days bring more opportunities to explore, while sufficiently dark nights can still offer aurora viewing.

A little knowledge.
A better evening.

Are the northern lights guaranteed?

No. They depend on natural activity, darkness and clear skies. A longer stay gives you more opportunities when conditions change.

Will the team let us know when the lights appear?

The resort describes a guest notification service during aurora season. Confirm the arrangements and service times for your visit directly with the hosts.

Do I need a guided tour?

You can enjoy the sky from the resort when conditions allow. A guided tour is an optional way to explore other viewpoints and follow clearer conditions.

Can you help with photography?

The team offers photography guidance when available. Bring a tripod if you have one, and ask your hosts about the options during your stay.
